Our Teaching Philosophy
We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, engaged, and supported. Our lessons emphasize water safety and proper technique, while also keeping things fun and exciting for the kids. We believe in celebrating small victories and building confidence over time.
Our in-pool interview process!
We pride ourselves on the skill set of our instructors! All of our instructors are experienced in the water and with children of all ages. We personally vet each instructor to ensure they meet our high standards for teaching water safety skills, swimming technique, and flexibility with different learning styles!
To ensure the skills of our swimming instructors all prospective instructors conduct an in pool interview and “mock” lesson as a part of our hiring process!
Instructors not only have experience teaching swimming, most have experience working with children outside the pool which gives them a unique edge when teaching inside the pool! Our instructors are also passionate about what they do, and love nothing more than helping kids learn and grow.

Hey, I'm Andrija. From my earliest memories, I've always been in the water, playing competitive water polo & swimming for over 10 years. I pride myself on being a great teacher and having had wonderful experiences teaching young kids how to swim at my water polo program's summer camp. Overall, I love being in the water and can't wait to share my passion with others!
Tamara
Hi, I’m Tamara! I have four years of experience teaching swim lessons and am CPR certified. Swimming is my passion! I have been swimming and competing through my youth, high school, and college. In addition to teaching inside the pool I have experience teaching children dance and caring for young children as a nanny! I love watching my students grow and develop the skills they need through my lessons. I pride myself in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment!
Lynzie
I have three years experience as a lifeguard and have been on swim teams since I was kid! I have always loved swimming and being in the water since before I could walk! I have been on competitive and recreational teams all throughout school and became a lifeguard at Sac State during my studies. I have also worked in elementary schools since I was 18, working for after school programs and school fundraising. I always loved being around children and even nannied throughout college. I pride myself on creating fun and engaging environments where kids feel safe to be themselves!
